Wrinkles
Spanish Cinema Now 2012
December 7 - 16, 2012
A beautifully animated tale of resistance, friendship and life set among the inhabitants of an elderly care facility.
Based on the prize-winning comic by Paco Roca, Wrinkles is a touching portrait of love and friendship in an old-age home, exquisitely rendered in beautiful 2D animation. Emilio arrives at the facility, already exhibiting early signs of Alzheimer’s; befriended by Miguel and a few other residents, Emilio is helped to act as “normal” as possible so that he won’t be sent to the top floor, the “assisted ward” that’s the last stop for those considered lost causes.
