FLC Archives
Launched in 2023, FLC Archives is an initiative to collect the physical and digital records that document the origins and activities of Film at Lincoln Center across seven decades. FLC Archives includes materials related to the organization’s signature events and legacy projects, beginning with the first New York Film Festival in 1963, its founding as an entity within Lincoln Center in 1969, thousands of filmmaker talks and portraits, the annual Chaplin Award Gala, and the publication history of Film Comment. These records help to document the organization’s contributions to a global cinema culture while preserving film exhibition as a theatrical experience.
This program is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Wendy Keys and Donald A. Pels Archive Fund.
While FLC’s archival materials are being processed for preservation, the collections are not open for public research. Please reach out to FLC Archives for more information.
