Members of the press are invited to apply for press accreditation at the 64th New York Film Festival, running September 25 – October 12, 2026. Press accreditation grants access to press screenings, press conferences, and links to any screeners we have permission to share (please note that the majority of Main Slate and Spotlight films do not permit sharing screeners).

Press screenings are scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 15 and run throughout the festival, with the majority of screenings taking place before Opening Night on September 25. All screenings will be held at the Walter Reade Theater or Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center.

The deadline to apply is Friday, August 14 at 11:59pm ET. No late applications will be accepted.

Previously accredited press who do not submit an application will not automatically be considered for NYFF64. If you would only like to cover red carpets and do not need to attend press screenings, you do not need press accreditation, please email [email protected].

Please submit your application for accreditation by following these steps:

1. Click here to begin this year’s application through Eventival. If you do not already have one, please create a new Eventival account.

2. Once you are signed in to your Eventival account, follow the links to create and/or update your personal profile and contact information. Be sure you have uploaded a clear headshot for your badge.

3. Next, click on Request Accreditation and select the Press badge.

4. Fill out the form and submit. You will receive an automatic confirmation when your form is successfully submitted. No further action is needed at this time.

Kindly note that your application is not a guarantee of accreditation, and due to capacity limitations we cannot guarantee press accreditation from one year to the next.

The press office will review all applications and notify you of your status beginning the week of Monday, August 24. A schedule of press screenings and press conferences will be sent to accredited press before the festival.

Please note that press badges are not transferable and we reserve the right to revoke press credentials for any person who does not adhere to FLC’s Code of Conduct.
