On this week’s episode of our podcast, hear the director and cast of Hermia & Helena (now playing!) discuss the film at last year’s New York Film Festival.
Hermia & Helena is a bittersweet comedy of coupling and uncoupling from New York-based Argentinian director Matías Piñeiro. The film stars Agustina Muñoz as a writer working on a Spanish translation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream who finds herself in a constellation of shifting relationships. Also starring stalwarts of New York’s independent film scene Keith Poulson, Dustin Guy Defa, and Dan Sallitt.
Following the screening at NYFF, Piñeiro joined cast members Muñoz, Defa, Sallitt, Poulson, and Mati Diop for a conversation moderated by festival director Kent Jones.
