On this week’s podcast, ahead of the Oscars this Sunday, we’re featuring discussions about two films nominated for Academy Awards.

Mudbound is nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Song. The film had its New York Premiere at last year’s New York Film Festival, where writer-director Dee Rees and cast members Carey Mulligan, Jason Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Clarke, Rob Morgan, and Best Supporting Actress nominee Mary J. Blige joined us for a press conference.

After that, you’ll hear our Q&A with Ildikó Enyedi, the director of On Body and Soul, which is competing in the Best Foreign Language Film category. The film had its New York premiere in our Film Comment Selects series this week, and following the screening, Film Comment Editor-in-Chief Nicolas Rapold moderated a Q&A with Enyedi.
