On this week’s podcast, we’re sharing a special extended conversation with director Yorgos Lanthimos, whose The Favourite has been nominated for ten Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director. Here at the Film Society we will be celebrating the Greek filmmaker’s work with a career-spanning retrospective running February 1–5.
The director joined us last week for an onstage conversation following a 35mm screening of Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon and preceding a screening of The Favourite.
