An Evening with Laura Dern
Laura Dern
December 14, 2017
Few actors of her generation have amassed as consistent, eclectic, and dazzling a body of work as two-time Academy Award nominated, Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award winning actress, Laura Dern. From her early roles in movies by Peter Bogdanovich and Joyce Chopra to her work with Steven Spielberg, Kelly Reichardt, Alexander Payne, Clint Eastwood, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Robert Altman, to her enduring and revelatory partnership with David Lynch, Dern has never shied away from challenges—indeed, she has boldly sought them out in pursuit of cinematic art. Following a daylong celebration of her ongoing contribution to the history of screen acting, Dern joins us for an onstage discussion spanning her illustrious career, with a focus on her recent triumphs on the big and small screen (Certain Women, Wilson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Big Little Lies, Twin Peaks: The Return).
