DFA honors Judy Kinberg, a founding member of the producing team that originated the pioneering series Dance in America as part of Thirteen/WNET New York’s Great Performances on PBS, with the 2022 In Focus Award. During her 30 year tenure with the series, Ms. Kinberg produced forty-nine programs, received seven primetime Emmy Awards, and helped to document much of the 20th century’s finest American choreographers and dance companies. Former Principal NYCB Dancer, Maria Calegari; Artistic Director of Philadelphia Ballet and former Principal ABT Dancer. Angel Corella; former Principal Paul Taylor Dancer, Linda Kent; and ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie join a discussion celebrating her remarkable contributions to dance on film.
