Dottie Gets Spanked
Todd Haynes, USA, 1993, 16mm, 30m

The dream that occurs to him after he sees his idol in a degrading, sexualized position is one of Haynes’s great hysterical outbursts—especially since it comes midway through one of his quieter, sadder, and more somber films.
