Q&A with director Jang Joon-hwan and actor Kim Yoon-seok; Kim will receive the NYAFF 2018 Star Asia Award

This epic, tightly plotted political thriller is the most ambitious film to date by the acclaimed director of Save the Green Planet. Set in 1987 and based on a true story, the film follows events that led up to the June Democratic Uprising in Korea, triggered by the death of a student protester during a police interrogation, which the authorities conspired to cover up. Compelling and star-studded (featuring NYAFF Star Asia Award recipient Kim Yun-seok), the film gives a turbulent period the blockbuster treatment, while never losing sight of the human drama at its core.
