A Few Good Men
Reiner’s first collaboration with writer Aaron Sorkin stars Tom Cruise and Demi Moore as lawyers out to get the truth in a military court-martial and Jack Nicholson as a career officer who doesn’t think they can handle it.
On a Marine base in a pre-9/11 Guantánamo Bay, a U.S. soldier dies from an apparent hazing. The incident sets in motion a military court-martial that goes beyond the hapless soldiers brought to trial to expose the machinations of a military still dealing with a Cold War world. This thrilling procedural was Reiner’s first collaboration with writer Aaron Sorkin (they’d work together on The American President three years later) and stars Tom Cruise and Demi Moore as the lawyers out to get the truth and Jack Nicholson as the career officer who doesn’t think they can handle it. A Few Good Men will be screened in a new 4K digital restoration.
