New York Premiere
Q&A with Bruce LaBruce
Lake refuses to feel shame about his unquenchable appetite for older men. The handsome teen defiantly signs up as an orderly at a local nursing home and quickly falls for Mr. Peabody, a charming, flirtatious soul with one last wish. Forget everything you know about filmmaker Bruce LaBruce: in what is easily his most romantic work to date, he dares us to look beyond fetish to embrace the beauty of all stages of life.
Closing Night Gala includes a pre-reception with an open bar in the Furman Gallery starting at 5:30pm and entrance into a private NewFest Closing Night after-party, sponsored by Visit Baltimore, at 42 West @ OutNYC, 516 42nd Street. After-party includes Stella Artois, wine, and vodka bar from 9:00-11:00pm with food inspired by Baltimore.
A small number of $15 rush tickets will be available at the Walter Reade Theater box office starting at 4:00pm. These tickets do not include admittance to the pre-reception or after-party.
