Fresh out of college, Yong-jun works as a lunch box delivery man while pondering what to do with his life. When delivering an order to a swimmer, who is deaf, at the local pool, he falls in love at first sight with her sister. The swimmer cheers him on from the sidelines as he tenderly courts the sister in sign language. His life finally starts to take some direction, thanks to their budding relationship, but when she suddenly pulls away, he’s truly at a loss for words. This inspired remake of the 2009 Taiwanese film Hear Me is a picture-perfect romance whose insightful spotlight on the hearing impaired offers emotional resonance with a visual flair since most of the dialogue is signed instead of spoken.
