Rendez-Vous with French Cinema 2012
March 1 - 11, 2012
An extraordinary, three-part epic journey through the history of Muslims in France, beginning in the early 20th century and stretching to the present day.
This extraordinary, three-part epic journey through the history of Muslims in France begins in the early 20th century, when increasingly large groups of Muslims began immigrating to France from her colonies. The final section looks at French Muslims today, and their efforts to forge new, hybrid identities despite opposition from certain sectors of French society and, sometimes, from within their own community.
