Loosely based on Lorenzo Moreno’s Premio Strega Prize–winning novel The Temptation to Be Happy, Tenderness is a powerfully acted character study as well as an evocative portrait of middle-class Naples, beautifully filmed by Luca Bigazzi (The Great Beauty).
