Director Dan Sallitt in person!

Quietly, former film critic Sallitt has developed into one of the most assured filmmakers on the American indie film scene, and his new film—already a sensation on the international festival circuit—underlines this fact. Brooklynite sister and brother Jackie (Tallie Medel) and Matthew (Sky Hirschkron) love each other, but Jackie wants to take it several steps further, until she must come to terms with her own contradictions and flailing desires. It's one thing to tackle the tricky theme of incest, but it's another to treat it and then pull back the layers to reveal something else altogether. Sallitt's brilliant, witty character study lovingly acknowledges, at the very end, its roots in the films of Eric Rohmer.
