This trilogy (The Cat is On the Chair, The Mouse is Under the Table, and The Monkey is On the Branch) focuses on a group of friends gathered for lunch and engaged in rich conversation covering life’s most complex moral topics. It emerged from an acting workshop led by director Cristi Puiu (The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, 2005) in Toulouse and inspired by Russian philosopher Vladimir Solovyov’s treatise Three Conversations.
