In anticipation of the New York Film Festival premiere of Greta Gerwig’s lovely and loving Lady Bird, the writer-director participated in a press conference at the Walter Reade Theater. She discussed writing her original script (of 350 pages!), putting together her ensemble, growing up in Sacramento, training to be a director through acting, and more. A24 will release Lady Bird on November 3.
