Running August 12 through August 20, the 16-film festival will premiere new works alongside special presentations of spine-tingling classics and rediscoveries conjured from the dark recesses of midnight-movie lore, with filmmakers and special guests appearing for post-screening Q&As. 

The New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) and Film at Lincoln Center today unveil the second wave of programming for its landmark 25th edition, adding more than 40 films to an already wide-ranging lineup, with very special final titles still to come.

Exploring conspiracy across Hollywood genres, from espionage and sci-fi to superhero cinema, political biography, Shakespearean adaptation, crime drama, cult psychodrama, and the modern action blockbuster, the series includes the first New York City theatrical screening of Tim Burton’s Batman on 70mm since its original release in 1989.

Film at Lincoln Center announces its lineup of repertory, festival, and new release programming for the upcoming summer season, from June through September 2026.

This year’s program features more than 50 filmmakers, ranging from acclaimed veterans to exciting new voices, who will be on hand for post-screening Q&As and special appearances, giving audiences an insider’s look into the stories behind their work.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the release of Elaine May’s emotionally potent Mikey and Nicky, May and producer Julian Schlossberg will be in person at FLC to present a 4K restoration of the film, which May supervised herself.

Applications are now open through June 18 for the 2026 Film at Lincoln Center Academy Programs.  

Film at Lincoln Center and Cinecittà present “History, Italian Style,” a sweeping series of 29 films examining the evolution of modern Italy—from the Risorgimento (1815–1861) through the rise of Mussolini and World War II—through the lens of Italian cinema.

Founded in 1962, Film Comment is debuting a subscription-based quarterly digital publication with a redesigned website, digital archive, and logo that harken back to its history while looking to the future. The new Film Comment will include expanded cover features, reviews, interviews, regular columns, podcast episodes, in-depth reporting from top festivals, and more.

Film at Lincoln Center and Cinecittà present the 25th anniversary edition of Open Roads: New Italian Cinema, to be presented from May 28 through June 4.
