Greta Gerwig and cast brought their new film Lady Bird to the 55th New York Film Festival, where it had a trio of sold-out screenings. The writer-director was joined by cast members Tracy Letts, Lois Smith, Beanie Feldstein, and Kathryn Newton on the red carpet to discuss their coming-of-age tale.

Robin Campillo also presented his powerful drama BPM (Beats Per Minute), which opens at the Film Society of Lincoln Center this weekend. Stars Nahuel Pérez Biscayart and Arnaud Valois joined him on stage to discuss their film, which captured AIDS activism in Paris in the early 1990s.

The 55th NYFF also featured highly anticipated documentary premieres, including Sara Driver’s BOOM FOR REAL The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Claude Lanzmann’s Four Sisters, and Rebecca Miller’s Arthur Miller: Writer, with all the directors in attendance.
