On October 14, Ang Lee’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk wasn’t the only world premiere at the New York Film Festival—so too was the technology it was presented in. The movie’s format of 3-D accompanied by the boundary-pushing frame rate of 120 frames per second marked the first of its kind in film presentation.
