On Display Global is performed live by Heidi Latsky Dance Company at the United Nations and simultaneously around the globe in celebration of International Day of People with Disabilities—an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. Starting in 2015, a series of “sculpture court” performance “movements” became an important part of this celebration. Choreographers, dancers, and filmmakers from around the world worked together to spread the word.  The culmination of this is celebrated in unison on December 3 using media shared from these global installations.  Promotion of the events can be seen on jumbotrons in Times Square, on monitors in NYC cabs, in museums around the globe, and in live-streaming performances.  We’ll talk with choreographer Heidi Latsky, dancer Jerron Herman, and several inclusion dance filmmakers for a behind- the-scenes look into what it took to create this global phenomenon—for information on how you can get involved in starting you own “movement.”

Panel Discussion: Paul Galando, Lane Harwell, Jerron Herman, Heidi Latsky
