FSLC PRESENTS THE COMEDY WORLD OF JUDD APATOW, INCLUDING WORLD PREMIERE OF TRAINWRECK, JULY 10-14

New York, NY (June 23, 2015) – The Film Society of Lincoln Center presents I Found This Funny: The Comedy World of Judd Apatow, July 10-14. The five-day showcase celebrates the Emmy-winning director, producer, writer, and comedian on the occasion of the release of his latest feature, Universal Pictures’s Trainwreck, which will have its World Premiere on Tuesday, July 14 at Alice Tully Hall and serve as a benefit screening for the Film Society, with Apatow and cast in attendance. FSLC ANNOUNCES 2015 FREE SUMMER TALKS FOR JUNE AND JULY

New York, NY (June 9, 2015) – The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the initial June and July lineup for the popular FREE Film Society Talks series, sponsored by HBO. The returning summer series kicks off on Monday, June 15 with director, writer, and producer Julie Taymor, who will discuss the filmed version of her critically acclaimed stage production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The upcoming events will include a combination of clips, trailers, and extended conversations, with questions also taken from the audience. The Closing Night selection will be announced at a later date. North America’s leading festival of popular Asian cinema will showcase 52 feature films, including 1 World Premiere, 3 International Premieres, 13 North American Premieres, 5 U.S. Premieres, and 14 films making their New York City debuts. FSLC ANNOUNCES THE WORLD PREMIERE OF ‘THE WALK’ AS THE OPENING NIGHT SELECTION FOR NYFF53

New York, NY (June 4, 2015) – The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today that Robert Zemeckis’s The Walk will make its World Premiere as the Opening Night selection of the upcoming 53rd New York Film Festival (September 25 – October 11), which will kick off at Alice Tully Hall. A true story, the film is based on Philippe Petit’s memoir To Reach the Clouds and stars Golden Globe nominee Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Petit, the French high-wire artist who achieved the feat of walking between the Twin Towers in 1974. The Walk will be the second 3D feature selected for the Opening Night Gala since Ang Lee’s Life of Pi in 2012 and also marks Zemeckis’s return to the Festival after Flight, the 2012 Closing Night Gala selection. FSLC upcoming June events: Sneak peeks of The Overnight and 54: The Director’s Cut & Bad Dads series

New York, NY (May 28, 2015) – The Film Society of Lincoln Center will present sneak previews throughout June, including Patrick Brice’s The Overnight on Wednesday, June 17, with Brice and actors Adam Scott and Jason Schwartzman in attendance, and on Tuesday, June 23, Miramax's 54: The Director’s Cut, will screen, followed by a Q&A with director Mark Christopher. The film, now a cult classic, features an additional 44 minutes of never-before-seen material that was not included in the original release in 1998. The previously announced sneak preview of Crystal Moselle’s The Wolfpack will screen on Thursday, June 11 with the director and subjects in attendance. Initial details for The 14th New York Asian Film Festival announced, June 26th – July 11th

The New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), North America’s leading festival of popular Asian Cinema, is back for its 14th edition. Co-presented with Film Society of Lincoln Center and Subway Cinema, the festival will run from June 26 to July 11. The festival takes place from June 26 to July 8 at the Film Society and July 9 to 11 at SVA Theatre (333 W. 23rd Street). Initial details include notable awards to be presented to director Ringo Lam, superstar Aaron Kwok, and actor Shota Sometani. The festival will also host a slew of North American film premieres, as well as spotlight the works of Korean female directors and honor the memory of Japanese legends Ken Takakura and Bunta Sugawara with a joint tribute.
