Jean-Pierre Dardenne has been tapped as head of the CinĂ©fondation and Short film jury for the upcoming Cannes FIlm Festival. He and his brother Luc Dardenne have won the festival's Palme d'Or twice for The Child (2005) and Rosetta (1999), as well as a  screenplay award in 2008 for Lorna's Silence. The Belgian brothers won the festival's runner-up prize last year for their latest film, The Kid WIth A Bike.

Joining Jean-Pierre Dardenne on the jury, which surveys shorts and work by film school students, will be Canadian actress Arsinée Khanjian, Brazilian filmmaker Karim Ainouz, French writer Emmanuel Carrere and Chinese filmmaker Tu Lik-Wai.

Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti wil be the president of the feature competition jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival, running May 16 – 27 in France. The complete list of jurors has yet to be announced.
