Shortly before the world premiere of The Walk on the opening night of the 53rd New York Film Festival, director Robert Zemeckis and cast members Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Charlotte Le Bon, Ben Schwartz, and James Badge Dale took part in a press conference. The film stars Gordon-Levitt as French high-wire walker Philippe Petit as he plans and executes his iconic walk between the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers in the summer of 1974. The film’s cast and director spoke about re-creating the famous performance in 3-D, visiting the World Trade Center, and more before the film’s premiere that evening.
