The 46th edition of New Directors/New Films is only halfway through, but has already featured a host of groundbreaking works by emerging filmmakers as well as other special events. Starting off the festival was Geremy Jasper’s Patti Cake$—Jasper joined stars Danielle Macdonald and Bridget Everett to present the film before an excited audience that included special guest Amy Schumer. The night continued with a party at the Museum of Modern Art, before a packed week of new films and a Filmmaker Brunch this past Sunday.
