New York Film Festival’s annual Convergence section, now in its sixth year, delves into the world of immersive storytelling via interactive experiences, featuring virtual reality, augmented reality, live labs and demos, and more. Convergence is free to the public Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and October 1, from 12-6pm in the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center (144 W 65th St.). On Saturday, September 30 from 12pm-3pm, see a demo of VR and the Future of Virtual Production by Lucasfilm at the Opera Learning Center on the 6th Floor of the Rose Building (165th W 65th St.)
