Landmark queer filmmakers Epstein and Friedman have individually and collectively made numerous acclaimed films, among them The Times of Harvey Milk, Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt and The Celluloid Closet. In recent years as co-directors they’ve gained attention for their crossover from documentary to narrative filmmaking with Howl about Allen Ginsberg three years ago and now with their latest narrative film about a non fiction character, Lovelace. The film opens at Film Society on August 9.

This Summer Talk is free and open to the public. Complimentary tickets will be distributed at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center box office on a first-come, first-served basis starting one hour prior to the conversation. Limit: one ticket per person. For those unable to attend, video will be available at youtube.com/filmlinc.
