Playing now in the FLC Virtual Cinema, Béla Tarr’s newly restored Sátántangó is an epic masterwork, its generous seven hour and nineteen minute runtime making it ideal for long viewings during quarantine times. It reminds us of one silver lining to staying indoors during the coronavirus pandemic: the unique opportunity it gives us to finally dive into the longer epic movies that have long sat on our to-watch lists. We asked the FLC community on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to tell us which epics were on their quarantine watch list, and their responses continued to impress.
