This special panel conversation will bring together French and American filmmakers whose work grapples in real time with urgent questions around LGBTQIA+ representation, centering and celebrating queer identities with great nuance while thoughtfully interrogating the social and political realities that their characters must navigate. Featuring Christophe Honoré (Winter Boy), Florent Gouëlou (Three Nights a Week), Vuk Lungulov-Klotz (Mutt), and Georden West (Playland), moderated by filmmaker and CUNY professor Yoruba Richen. This talk is made possible in partnership with The Gotham Film & Media Institute and French in Motion.
