What is NYFF61?
Returning every fall to celebrate a new slate of essential cinema from around the globe, NYFF has been an enduring part of New York’s rich cultural and historical landscape since 1963. Produced by Film at Lincoln Center, the 61st edition will take place from September 29 until October 15, 2023.
Where will NYFF61 take place?
NYFF61 will take place at Film at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater and Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, and Alice Tully Hall, with more venues to be announced.

How do I get early access to tickets?
Film at Lincoln Center Members at the Contributor level and above receive early access to discounted NYFF tickets and more benefits year-round. Join our community of film lovers as a Member by August 15 to receive early access to NYFF61. Learn more here.

What sections are in NYFF61?
NYFF61 is comprised of five sections:
- Main Slate is the core of the program, a selection of the most exceptional new films from around the world.
- Currents complements the Main Slate, tracing a more complete picture of contemporary cinema with an emphasis on new and innovative forms and voices.
- Spotlight expands the vision of the Main Slate, showcasing a selection of the season’s most anticipated and significant films.
- Revivals showcases important works from renowned filmmakers that have been digitally remastered, restored, and preserved with the assistance of generous partners.
- Talks features in-depth conversations with filmmakers, critics, curators, and more.
Can I submit my film to NYFF61?
Short film submissions to NYFF61 are now closed with notifications being sent on August 11. Feature film submissions are by invitation only.

The NYFF Community Partnership Program allows the festival to offer complimentary and discounted tickets to select NYFF programming to local organizations and students in the metro NYC region. This allows NYFF to support a critical component of FLC’s mission to make our arts programming accessible to diverse audiences and allows us to also foster connections between our audiences and local organizations making an impact.
