FSLC announces spring lineup for 50 Years of the New York Film Festival

The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s year-long countdown to the New York Film Festival’s historic 50th edition continues this spring, offering the rare opportunity to view several undisputed classics of the big screen, many of which were introduced to the world at NYFF. These include breakthrough films from the 1990s by Zhang Yimou, Gus Van Sant, Jane Campion and more. FSLC and The American Turkish Society present THE SPACE BETWEEN: A PANORAMA OF CINEMA IN TURKEY

The Space Between: A Panorama of Cinema in Turkey is the largest retrospective of films from Turkey to be presented in the United States. The retrospective is produced by The Moon and Stars Project of The American Turkish Society and the Film Society of Lincoln Center. The program includes more than 25 films and runs from Friday, April 27 through Thursday, May 10, presenting award winning Turkish films from the 1950s to the present. Read More

Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival, today announced it will collaborate with prominent media outlets STARZ CINEMA, NBC 4, and WNYC Radio as well as Citi, luxury hotel brand Thompson Hotels and Film Society of Lincoln Center in launching Tropfest New York in June. Susan Sarandon named Honorary Chair and Martin Scorsese to present at 39th Chaplin Award Award

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today that Susan Sarandon will act as Honorary Chair for this year’s Gala, as well as the initial presenter line up for the upcoming 39th Annual Chaplin Award to include Martin Scorsese, Chiara Mastroianni and Arnaud Desplechin.
